Can’t make up your mind? Contact us directly so our experienced rehoming volunteers can learn more about you and suggest suitable matches.

If you can’t adopt you may like to consider fostering; it is such a rewarding thing to do and we are always looking for more foster homes, regular and emergency ones. If you can’t adopt or foster, we’re also always in need of sponsors for dogs still in Romania, to help cover their food and care costs until they arrive in the UK. Contact us to learn more and help give these dogs a better future.

Adoption process and criteria

To be eligible to adopt an EverMore dog, you must

be between the ages of 25-75

pass a home check

be able to pay the full £475 adoption fee in one payment

Additionally, please be aware

  • If you are adopting one of our dogs directly from Romania, you must have prior dog owning experience as an independent adult with full financial and practical responsibility for their welfare.
  • We will consider first-time dog owners if adopting one of our dogs in UK foster, as those dogs have been able to be more thoroughly assessed.
  • We no longer accept applications from households with children aged five and under, or those expecting a baby, unless you have prior rescue experience.
  • We no longer rehome to Scotland, Isle of Man, Cornwall or Southern Devon.
  • When adopting a puppy, preference will be given to those who have a resident dog. Resident dogs must be neutered and under the age of 12.
  • Individuals with rescue experience will be given priority.
  • Our dogs are not cat-tested.
  • Our dogs have little to no experience around children.
  • Our dogs will not be house- or lead-trained and are unlikely to have lived in a home environment previously.
  • Should any circumstances arise meaning that the adopted dog can no longer live with its adopter, the dog MUST be returned to EverMore Dog Rescue for rehoming.

Email us via evermoredogrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application form or more information.

Adoption donation and what it includes

Your non-refundable adoption donation of £475 covers:

  • all transport costs to the UK
  • vet checks and preparation of their Pet Passport
  • vaccinations (rabies, dhppi, Lepto, kennel cough)
  • microchip
  • spaying/neutering (subject to age)
  • flea and worm treatment
  • testing for Brucellosis

We do not ask for the adoption fee until the home check has been passed and your dog has been reserved for you. At that point, the adoption fee needs to be paid in full, via either BACS or Paypal, before your dog can be booked for transport. The dogs are brought overland from Romania into the UK and the adoptions team will keep you fully informed during the trip.
